11.30.11 - Hello everyone! I hope your holiday season is going well so far! I know this season can be hard for some, and that’s why Kuppajoe offers a strong family of supporters of the hurt and downtrodden. Our group meets on Monday nights at 6:30pm to eat, we pray, read the bible, have open discussion of what we read, then go around discuss things in our lives that we’re thankful to God for and bring up things in our life that can use pray and support. We bring things up out loud, not to cause judgement, but to bring support to each other through prayer and to meet physical, emotional, financial needs through blessing. Sound intense? It is, but in a best friend kind of way. Even if you’re not a believer in Christ, we urge you to come and be honest in openly discussing your life and beliefs. For us, the fact that you’ve even shown up is already a win. If you’re not feeling up to showing up in the flesh, but still would like prayer, feel free to email us! The truth is God loves you and wants to have a relationship with you no matter how hurt you are or upset with Him/His followers you are.
So if you’ve been attending the past year of shows, we want to thank you for supporting our community/spiritual outreach, as well as the local, regional, and national acts that play at our club! Kuppajoe would no longer exist had you not been here to join us in a good time! That being said, we’re moving in a direction to give you more opportunity to support us as a nonprofit. We’ll be starting a Kick Starter within the first couple weeks of December with many incentives for your support such as buttons, stickers, tickets to shows, t-shirts, a Kuppajoe 2012 Tour Pass, & much more! We’re also asking other local business to support us through tax deductible donation or sponsorship!
We’ll also be offering online ticket sells by the beginning of the new year! Whatever we can do to help build this scene and connect you with the valley’s best bands!
Lastly, if you’re in a band, know someone in a band, or would like to suggest a band you really want to see, then please email us about booking! Visit our boooking page to read about our booking process! The more bands the better!
