About Us

Kuppajoe is an all ages nightclub located in Fresno, CA... It began in 1996 as Kuppajoe Christian Coffehouse-- the brainchild of Dave Brown and Sam Sarkissian--as they talked over their desire to see a place for Christians to listen to some music and enjoy a little java.  Kuppajoe opened its' doors in January 1997 with Sam as the Director and Dave as the volunteer promotions and booking guy, It was a little slow at first, but things kicked in quick and Kuppajoe's been going strong ever since!

In 1999, Curtis Shamlin took over and made the changes that created Kuppajoe All-Ages Nightclub.  Dave Brown was hired to run the fledgling nightclub, which found its niche by working with small up-and-coming bands with edgier styles.

Now, over 10 years and some great changes later, K-JOE is run by a volunteer staff headed up by Nick Kennedy with the help of his brother Jesse Kennedy and an array of talented staff (check 'em out to your right).  We're still going strong as one of the west coast's longest running all-ages nightclubs!
